Alain Ducasse La Trattoria 1

Today’s review is of Alain Ducasse’s (French chef with the most Michelin stars in the world) Italian restaurant in Monaco: La Trattoria at the Sporting Monte Carlo Club.

The photo above is of the view from the terrace sitting area.

This restaurant is not as fancy as Alain Ducasse’s other restaurant in Monaco (Le Louis XV), so it’s a good choice if you want somewhere nice but not too stuffy, not to mention the views are amazing!

Here’s what happened:

Helene Darroze at The Connaught 1

Helene Darroze at the Connaught Hotel in London is a restaurant offering equal parts elegance and whimsy.

Case in point: The restaurant has 2 Michelin stars (and is working towards a third) and the little game board in the photo above is the menu/game you play as soon as you are seated.

It’s sophisticated without being too stuffy.

I love places like this.

This is how it went:

Dinner by Heston Blumenthal 1

So, I’m London right now which means I’m going to be posting some restaurant reviews in the coming days.

Today’s review is for Dinner by Heston Blumenthal.

Heston’s a British food icon, he is the man behind the famous 3 Michelin-starred Fat Duck, located outside of London.

Dinner is his London restaurant, it has 2 Michelin stars as of 2015 and is on the 50 World’s Best Restaurants List by Pellegrino.

Basically, he’s a big fucking deal.

This is what happened when we went:

So, yesterday I fulfilled a desire I’ve had ever since I moved to the Bay Area, I got to go to Chez Panisse.

If you don’t know, Chez Panisse is a restaurant and cafe in Berkeley, CA by acclaimed Chef Alice Waters, who is the pioneer of what is known today as “California cuisine.” California cuisine is usually low in fat and high in flavor with an emphasis on letting the local, seasonal and sustainable fruits and vegetables shine through, as well as utilizing high quality meats and seafood from California’s own coast .

I went with some of the homies and this is how it all went down:

Alain Ducasse Le Louis XV Restaurant Review

Parks-and-rec-treat-yo-self

Let me start off by saying I really enjoyed the “research” for Alain Ducasse Le Louis XV Restaurant Review.  It is a 3 Michelin Star restaurant (arguably the highest possible honor for restaurants) in Monte Carlo, Monaco. Frequently described as one of the world’s best restaurants, this place is a sight to see.

The chef, Alain Ducasse, is renowned and boasts world-class restaurants across the globe.

The decor at Louis XV is beyond opulent and the pomp and circumstance are all part of the experience.

As soon as you walk in, your eyes are met with this:

Sketch Restaurant Review

yum

Sketch is a really quirky and whimsical 2 Michelin Star restaurant in London.

It’s definitely an experience in itself, and the short of it is: It’s really expensive but I recommend a visit if you’re in the area.

As soon as you walk in the door, you’re met with a hopscotch board that screams, “Hop on me!”
