Fight night is almost around the corner!
For those of you unaware, pretty much the biggest boxing match in modern history is this Saturday.
It’s the fight between Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao.
Of course, I had to make themed drinks.
Because alcohol.
As a bonafide Mayweather fan I made a Money May-garita Cocktail last year that will taste just as good this year.
It’s a margarita with a little twist.
The “Pac-Man” cocktail is more tropical and great for this time of year whether you like boxing or not.
This is what you need:
Ideally, I wanted to find lambanog, which is a Filipino coconut liquor.
Being in the States that wasn’t so easy, so I used Malibu coconut rum instead.
You can use mango juice or mango nectar instead of the mango smoothie that I’m using.
1 1/2 oz of liquor.
Or more if that’s how you roll.
No tea.
No shade.
You also need a lemon.
1/2 oz of fresh squeezed lemon juice, or more if you like things a little tart.
1/4 oz of mango juice/nectar/smoothie/who cares.
I added a little over 3 oz of pineapple juice.
Just add 3 oz at first and then once you taste it, if it needs more add a little splash.
For the garnish, slice a lemon and then cut a little wedge out of it.
Arrange the lemon slice right side up with the cut out on the right side, then cut a little slice on the bottom of the lemon slice so that you can slide it on the edge of the glass like this:
Now you have a Pac-Man garnish that was so easy to make I’m pretty sure my chihuahua can do it and he’s an asshole.
That’s besides the point but he is such a dick sometimes.
Anyway, this glass is best enjoyed on the rocks.
Or on the floor because if you’re rooting for Pacquiao you’re gonna end up on the floor, crying.
Because he’s going to lose.
Yes.
I said it.
